'56 Plymouth windshield wiper blades

There are wiper blades posted on Ebay as well as a set of wiper arms. Not sure how old they are. Remember rubber dried out over time. The last time I bought wiper blades for my 55 Plymouth, I was told the ones for the Jeep Wrangler were the same. You might want to try that.

Advance Auto Parts sells a "universal" wiper blade.
Maybe it will be the correct width for your car.  It is the
type where there are two metal spines on either side of the
blade.  There are score markes on these metal spines.
You break off the spines to the correct length, cut the blades
to just a bit longer than the spines and install all of this in
your current blade holders.

I found a set of refills for my 52 on ebay.  Rubbers and metal backers

I've had luck replacing mine by taking apart a refill for my modern car.  Next time you buy a set of wipers for your daily driver... take it apart the old ones your about to throw away and see if the blade looks simular.  I had to cut it to lenght and cut an extra "lip" off the refil, but otherwise it worked.  I just used the ones I was about to throw out since I never drive in the rain anyway.  Just wanted something that wasn't dry rotted and falling apart.

I am restoring a '56 Belvedere, and can't seem to find a source that sells blade refills -- the long rubber that seems to be permanently attached to a thin, long metal strip. (The metal strip is "grabbed" by four pairs of "fingers" of the frame.). I don't need the frames, just the rubber (and thin metal strip if it comes as a unit). Does anyone know who sells the blade refill? Thanks. Dick Friedman --
