Tires for '29 Pymouth Roadster

Any thoughts on the following below?  I plan on doing this project within the next couple of weeks...thanks for any feedback!

1.  Decided to go with black wall tires this time because I think they are more original and authentic.  Looking at Lester, BF Goodrich and maybe even Firestone (a Model "A" tire?).

2.  I believe I have decided to go with black rims as opposed to cadmium colored.  I have seen it done both ways (both ways with a black wall tire).  There is a photo I have (you may have seen it) with a '29 Roadster coming off the assembly line with this combination, although you can see that the spokes are painted and can bairly see the pin striping on the spokes.

Any thoughts, ideas, constructive criticism?

The original tire supplier for the 29 Plymouth was Fisk but they are no longer around.  Goodyear does make both a 4.75x19" or 4.50x21" tire in either white or blackwall.

Thanks Jim (and everyone)...for what it's worth, I have the wood spoke artillery wheels and need size 475/500x20, so it looks like I will have to go with the Lester or BF Goodrich.  Any opinion on either of those brands?

What ever you decide to buy, before you mount them make sure thee are no manufacutrers barcod stickers inside the tires.  Some use small mylar stickers for inventory control purposes.  They will chafe on the tube and could cause flat tires.

I got my tires for the 29 Plymouth from Coker.com  They were Friestone and W/W,  but I am happy with them, they may have other brands, I don't know that.

Looking for new tires for my '29 U Roadster to replace the old WW Lester tires.  I am leaning toward going with black wall tires this time because a) they are probably more authentic and original, b) easier to take care of/make look good, and c) less expensive overall.

I've been looking at Lester and BF Goodrich for these blackwall tires...can't seem to find anything else (I assume Goodyear tires are non-existent for the car and Firestones are Model A tires).

Any thoughts or words of wisdom on tire brands, WW vs. BW tires, etc. would be welcome...thanks!
