Contact Miller Tire Paint. They are on Ebay. They have the paint listed as of this message. Type in MILLER TIRE PAINT  and it should pop up of ebay. They show ten 32 .oz bottles on hand. Also try to GOOGLE other sites. I did find other sites out there.

Anyone know where you can buy black tire paint? I used to paint my '36 running board rubber with it once a year. I haven't been able to find it locally for a while now...

As I recall the installation is pretty straight forward... I think you will have to drill the holes through the rubber where the boards attach to the fender pockets.
A word of caution.... Apply a rubber dressing,, like the stuff used on tires from time to time. My car is always garaged or covered and I have sprayed a rubber dressing on the boards from time to time... After six years the boards look great.. My friend also has a 39 P8 which was under restoration at the same time as mine... His boards are showing signs of minor cracking in the rubber.. He has never put any kind of a dressing on them.... Claimed nobody ever told him to do so....Bill
