Ford had a super deluxe model in the 40's, Plymouth used the Special Deluxe desigation.  Depending on what was in the parts bin, it could be a 3 or three position switch, off dim and dimmer, as noted and off and dimmer.

Since most of use don't do a lot of night driving its not much of an issue but sometimes cleaning the accumulated dust off the dash light bulbs will help a lot.  It will also make you safety sentinal speedometer lighting more brilliant.

Hello everyone.  I am new.  Just bought a 47 Super Deluxe.  Can anyone please tell me what the toggle switch is for under the dash just to the right of the steering colmn?
