Brake pedal return spring attachment point?

Boy that sure looks nice!  Thanks for posting the photo, but I think the configuration is different on the 1942 because of the difference in the frames.

The attached photo of a 1941 may or may not help. It might give you a clue in any case.

Where does the non-master-cylinder end of the brake pedal return spring attach on a 1942 Special Deluxe?  There is a bracket affixed to the transmission with a hole in it that seems like a good candidate (see attached photo).  Thanks!
