even IF after seeing a "P15" number on the block, one cannot say when and if the crank and rods of a 230 was installed at some time by a PO or rebuilder prior to this guy..but if the engine number is not P15...then I should hope that you like baloney for that is what is being served..

most non commercial applicatioins (non taxi) were the small one.  But always better to measure once it is out. 

Please explain how a rebuilder verified that a Dodge engine was installed in your Plymouth.  Wat is the engine number???

I have a 1948 Plymouth that came from the factory with a 230 cu. in. Dodge engine as verified by the engine rebuilder in 1986.
It is time for a new clutch and I understand that there were two clutches available - one was a 9 1/4" clutch and one was a
10" clutch.  Most were 9 1/4" but is there any way to verify that before you rip it apart???  Any information would be helpful?
