Good Friday, in Germany is public holiday, in the netherlands is not.

So, as last year too, we plymouthed to Maastricht, NL, some 90 mls from D?sseldorf via secondary lanes throuh a dozen small cities and villages.
Last 5 mls were 1 hour because of traffic congestion. Apperently, all german wives wanted to go shopping in Maastricht...

Medioeval center of Maaastricht on River Maas is very beautiful because no war darnages happened 1944/45. The last big battles were 30 mls south  in H?rtgenwald.

While on the  market eating dutch and asian specialities, a big 30  min. thunderstorm cought us. The weather report still showed sun, but the smart phone weather Radar showed a handful rainstorms, each only 1 or 2 miles in diameter. Fortunately, the Ply roof was closed.  When coming back to it, we found him nearly completely yellow from tree pollens. Two shots show typical dutch narrow and very narrow houses (Town hall in the background beyond the market). Downtown, only residents cars are allowed.

Back, at 8 p. a. I  had to wash it before putting it back in its Garage.

Beautiful day anyhow!

Greetings from D?sseldorf! Go
