Once again, thanks for all the feedback and comments. If you see something in the videos or photos that is just plain wrong, please let me know. I tried to document everything as I took it apart, but you never know when a gas station attendant might have serviced the car and put things back together different from the original.

Your project brings back many good memories of my 41 project. Our pictures almost look the same to this point. Your film does bring back one bad memory that I almost forgot about. I can not count how many times I cut myself, or ripped my pants, on the front seat spring bracket in the center of the floorboard. After a few years I wised up and wrapped it with foam and tape to finish under the dash.

Did you have to do much sheet metal work and welding on the body or was your trunk, floor and rocker panels in that great of shape. There must have been a lot of sheet metal work that you already done.

Mark, Very impressive, you are keeping some of us hoping we will also finish our cars in the near future, and the quality of work on my car obviouly will be improved. lol . By the way, is that you playing the piano, you do good multi-tasking.

Much appreciate your videos and information. I am not much for scoring points of originality, (as noticed by my car), but that car is being put back together with the up most care as far as I can see.

If not inconvenient, I know that I, and a few Plymouth drivers would love to come up and visit sometime to walk around the car with oohs and aahs...

Your info of parts source to who does what is of great value. Keep up the great work.

I have posted the second video about the restoration of my 1941 ASC. This time I gave a quick video walk around of the progress to date and briefly discussed running board restoration and etching the PPG trademark names in the new window glass.

Thanks everyone for the nice response. I will answer the questions that were raised:

jd2ksilver - I live in California too. I am located near Modesto.

Tod - "MV" actually stands for Mountain-Valley. The name mvair was available when I set up my first email account and I have used it many times since. Mountain-Valley Air was origianlly the name of a co-ownership arrangement I had with a couple of people on an airplane. I have since bought out the other two people and use the name myself.

Lindsay - I was wondering about that pattern. My liners are so rotted I could not tell if that was part of the deterioration of the material. I will have to see if I can find a section where the pattern is still visible. Do you have any idea of how it was done originally?

Next time I will give a walk around of the car and talking about how I was able to reproduce the "bugs" on the replacement glass using laser engraving of the names "Duplate," "Herculite," etc.

I have been working on my 1941 P12 for the past several years. I always looked at the restoration process as my hobby, not having the car finished or driving it. However, I want to have it completed for the summer meet in California. The restoration itself is about 85% complete. I mainly need to get everything assembled again.

I am going to post a weekly update on my progress on my YouTube channel. Take a look if you are interested. If you subscribe to the channel, you will get a notice when a new video is posted.
