When I first bought the Plymouth, my Father came up to visit for the weekend, I showed him the Plymouth, In his own words, he said "What the h_ll you going to do with that, they were junk when new and still junk today"

You know Bob, a lot of people share your father?s opinion of Plymouths.  I have had numerous comments from people when I have told them that I am restoring a 48 Plymouth then I am usually asked the question, Why ???

Basically, because one day it followed me home.

Glenn, I take my Father with me in the annual "Pumpkin Parade the first Saturday in Oct, that is the only parade in this area.  Cooper goes with me almost all the time when the Plymouth leaves the dooryard.   Dad goes with me rather often also.  This past Pumpkin Parade Dad went with me while I drove my son's 1968 one ton dualie Chevy stack rack.

When I first bought the Plymouth, my Father came up to visit for the weekend, I showed him the Plymouth, In his own words, he said "What the h_ll you going to do with that, they were junk when new and still junk today"  He always thought of cars as a necessary evil, but over the past 22 plus years, he has never said he didn't want to go for a ride and that makes it all worth it :)

Pretty wonderful to go for a ride with dad, I envie you, that is a great privilage, and the temperatures you are having. LOL.
My Grandkids are all waiting to go for a "Ride" when I finish getting the 29 ready.  It is a tose-up who get to go first. I suppose I will have a Grandchild along to any parades I hit this summer, looking forward to it.

We had temps in the lower 60's today, so I went over and picked up my 84 year old Father and him, Cooper and I went for a ride in the Plymouth, just couldn't resist

Here are a few photos.

Winter is that much shorter now that we were able to enjoy the Plymouth this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great upcoming weekend,
Bob
