I?ve got a 1951 passenger car parts List (for Ply, Dodge, DeSoto,Chrysler) showing exploded views for everything. Besides of finding the correct names plus numbers for every part, it?s beautiful graphics are very instructing and it is a pleasure too just browsing throuigh the pages.

I have a '41.? I find the service manual to be very good.? I have both the '41 and '42 manuals because they cover the same topics with a slightly different emphasis.? I find the '42 manual has some clarification of information in the '41 manual that is very useful.? The '41' and '42 cars were mechanically very similar.? Perhaps a '41 manual would also apply to the P9.

There is also a compilation manual (see picture below) that covers several years.? There is not as much detail as in the year specific manuals, but it does have information that might only have appeared in one year and applies to several years.? I find it a useful tool.

I also suggest buying an original manual (they are usually in the $40 range).? The pictures are 10x clearer than in the reprints.? It is well worth the additional cost.

I think I am working in a slight vacuum regarding repairs on my 40 Ply P-9 Coupe. I have a "service manual" which is very sketchy on most systems of the car. I think I need a "Repair Manual" which must have more detail. On E Bay I find the manual I have, but none others. Does anyone out there know of other manuals.
