Tracing the '28-29 Plymouths (or other Chrysler products) can't be done at Chrysler as no records exist.  Tracing the ownership of a particular car may be possible, provided your state has kept its early records - something most states haven't done.  If a vehicle has been titled over the years it might be possible to do a title search which would show the various owners over the years.  If thats not possible you might want to talk to the person you got the car from if they have any knowledge of owners before them.

Well, for 1930 through 1967 you can get the "build cards" from Chrysler Historical. That would give the actual manufacture date and the dealer the car was shipped to. But you want to know for 1928 and 29 which, last I checked, is before 1930.

Maybe Jim Benjaminson will chime in with a way to track this down for that vintage car.

Can anyone tell me what steps (if any) a person would take to track down the history/owners/etc of a car?
