Yes,there is a gravel pan/splash shield or whatever you want to call it between the rear of the body and the bumper.  It was designed to keep rocks from flying up at the rear of the car.  It is mostly flat with some raised ribs at the center.  Sorry I can't help you find one - used to be 5 parts cars near here but they have all gone to the crusher

Ryan,

Another suggest I have for you is to contact Jim Benjaminson who is a long time member of the POC and also is the '40 Plymouth tech supervisor, he should be able to answer many of your questions.

Moore's phone number is 605-348-4926.  I had the opportunity to visit them ten years ago, they have a large selection of MOPARs all neating arranged in their salvage yard.

I would also suggest that you join the POC if you haven't already, they publish an award winning magazine called the "Plymouth Bulletin"

Various vendors that I have used over the past 22 years are:

Andy Bernbaum,
Roberts
Pro Antique auto Parts
EGGE
Fat Fendered Relics
Lindsay McConnell
Moore's Auto Salvage
White Post Restorations

Hope this helps

Ryan,

Welcome to the POC.  I also have a 1940 Plymouth P-10, but it is a busness coupe.  I have had the car for 22 years this next month.

I can't tell you if the "Cat Walk" was part of the car or not, but the one I got came from Moore's in Rapid City, SD shortly after I got the car.  You can Google Moores Auto Salvage in Rapid City, SD then contact them as they have a website.

Can you post some photos of your Plymouth and where abouts do you live?

Good luck,
Bob

I'm new to this site but have already fell in love with this forum.  My question is did my 40 plymouth deluxe 2dr sedan which I think is the P10 come with the stone deflector, think thats what its called, it is inbetween the bumper and the body.  Kinda covers the space inbetween.  Is there anyone that know were I could buy one or aleast get a pattern to make my own, even a picture would help.
Thanks
Ryan
