'61 Fury 2dr. hdtp. (Seeking Purchase Advise)

 ??? I'm strongly considering the purchase of a '61 Fury. What important things should I look for? The car has been sitting outside for many years but is in a dry climate. From the info I've collected so far, it sounds virtually free of rust. The interior is a little rough, headliner sagging, apholstery weathered and separating. The car is complete. The chrome is reportedly very good. The car has a V-8 engine, at least 318, not sure yet of exact c.i. although it turns freely. A tentative price of 2,700.00 has been discussed. I'd appreciate any and all input prior to my leaving on a 850 mi. one way trip to pursue the car on thursday 3/30. Thanks, Bill
