Convert to disk brakes

I'm interested in converting the front brakes on my stock 1949 Plymouth to disk and would like to adapt brakes off of a newer car to mine.? I have several GM, Ford, and Plymouth parts cars with disk brakes that I can use if any can be adapted.? Does anyone sell adaptors that would allow this switch?? Wouid the master cylinder have to be changed to power?? Any suggestions will be appreciated.? Thanks
