well i,m back, after the upgrade there was no way i could log in , Mark suggested i clear my cookiies or use another computor. seeing i have no idea what a cookie is (apart from a buscuit, see old age creeping in ) i have been using my grandsons oomputor. today i had a comptor tech come in and do what he had to , i still have no idea what he did , but after $NZ25 i,m back in buisness, Ply46 if its still slow for you are you still on dial up, i,m on broadband the cheapest one available , and its as fast as any other site i,m on . thanks mark

Hey, This does run better for me. Maybe know I won't fear checking things out here. Was always holding back because it took all evening to get anywhere.

Thanks,

Well it's better.  But still like shifting a Hyundai when you're used to a Honda.  Maybe the Ruskies are still kocking.

Thanks for your efforts.

Learning all kind of things - the new software upgrade allowed me to find out that a Russian Spider was set to whack our board every 30 seconds and was causing an undocumented error, that may have been a big part of the slowdown.  I found a way to block that dude by creating a small file in our root directory - it seems to have worked.  Hopefully we will be smooth sailing along now.

Great job.., the forum seems to be running in Tip Top condition.  If you get a chance please email some info on the Russian Search engine that was hosing the site, especially on how you resolved the problem.  I can?t believe there are that many people in Russia with Plymouths or the need for Plymouth info.

Again great job. !!!

Everyone will have to log in again - that is one of the major things that when I take the board into service mode - it logs everyone out.

Mark,

You may need to upload the pstar.gif file it might have been deleted with the upgrade.

  < plymouthbulletin.com/smf/Themes/babylon/images/pstar.gif >

You may want to run your database tools to find and repair any issues with the db file.

Good job,  Chet?

Hey guys, let's see if the board is faster now, I got rid of the Beta version of software and installed the newest version.  I hope everyone gets in okay.
