Believe me Tod, I know those tires aren't the correct ones as they are 15" radials, but boy does the car handle better

Those fat wide tires are the give away... Seem like the first thing I see on a car that makes it look out of place in a photo that attempts to create a period feel.

Your color manipulation looks pretty good with a nice vintage feel. If you want the photo to be a little more vintage looking, crop it to a square shape and drop it into a white frame that has those rough cut edges they used to use. And put the date code in black on the white edging.

This photo was taken on a nice Fall day here in the Catskills, I antiqued it , but I honestly don't imagine too many people had color film back in 1940.  I hated to go with black and white because the leaves were beautiful.

I have been told many times that I have too much time on my hands, but let me tell everyone, I am throughly enjoying myself.

I guess you don't give a retired man a digital camera, computer and an old Plymouth:):)
