Hi Brian, sent you a email. Your right, OD is the way to go for a bit more cruising speed and saving wear and tear on the engine.

Hi JD, yes my car is still 6v and this would be a welcome addition to the vehicle. It is a daily driver here in NC but with the speeds of today I sometimes feel like I would like to get an extra 5 or 10 mph out of it on the h,way, and not feel like the car is screaming.I have a 3.90 rear n it and this would really make the car perform better I see that you're in CA. and I will give you a call on this this afternoon. I am going to measure the overall length of mine and have it for you this afternoon. Have you tried to activate the solonoid with 6 voltand do you know if it works? i also checked out the shipping charges and it appears to be about $85. dollars. Will contact you this afternoon.

Hi Capt.
From what I understand, and Neil Riddle, it is a straight swap for your year. It was a straight swap for my 52. The length, shaft and teeth on the shaft are identical. I has the governor, the solenoid attached. You would need wire in the kick-down relay for it. If your car is still 6 volts I have a manual I can send, or they are on the web in several places.

I have a extra OD Transmission that I was going to use on a 48 Dodge. But the car is gone now, so I still have the transmission.

I purchased it from Neil Riddle 14 months ago. It is used, never been in my car. But I have purchased many items from Neil and have always been satisfied with the product.

I want $850, (which is what I paid), plus $50 to build a wood crate for shipping, and shipping charges.

It has the emergency brake, the solenoid (6 volt I imagine, but I am using a 6 volt in my 12 volt car with no issues), the governor, it is complete.

If you want to figure shipping charges, it will weight about 80lbs, my zip is 94040.
