help: need ball &trunion setup for front and rear 56 plymouth

There were recently some rebuild kits on Ebay for approx.$400. As Todd suggested, if you are OK with modern technology and servicing, a driveshaft shop in our west coast area, for example, wanted $395 to make a new balanced shaft with Spicer ends to match Plymouth mating flanges.

Is one from a 55 DeSoto 2-speed automatic the same as the one you are looking for? If it is,I can help you. I still have the engine and trans I pulled from the 55 DeSoto I sold.

The usual suspects should be able to help you. Bernbaum, Mitchell, Roberts, etc. I'd call Roberts first. Be advised that these are not cheap, if you are not in to authenticity it may be cheaper to have a new drive shaft made up using "off the shelf" universal joints.
