Mystery solved, I think.

Just got back from the CPPC board meeting. One of the old timers there said that was a tag put on old cars by the MALLORY Battery Company, which was at 9th and Everett in Portland. Presumably the number is some sort of record number, warranty???.

The previous owner of this car was my son's father in law. He bought the car from a lady by the name of Irene Hauth of Beaverton Oregon in 1959.  I was led to believe she was the original owner.

The serial number on the car is 1525651. THe Motor # is 227832. Neither of these have any relation to the tag number.

Trying to find out if there was a WILLARD Chrysler/Plymouth dealer in Portland, OR.

Looks like a personalized tag one of the owners had made up. What was the P.O. name? Willard?

I just received, from the person who had stored my car for the previous owner, what I consider to be an unusual tag. It is aluminum about 3/4" high by 2 1/4" long.
On it there is the name of what might be the dealer? ? ? "Willard"
Below that is a number                                                10427
Then below that is and address                         9TH & EVERETT PORTLAND

Is this a tag that was put on be the dealership? What does it tell me, i.e. the number?
