I'm not familiar with the numbers posted; the clip that fits is on pg 139, #1355 which I'm told is not available. They are about 5/8" long...(restorationspecialties.com)

I just realized that I had one of there catalogs in my stack. I checked out there website and was thinking that part # 88140 or # 331 matches pretty close. Is that the same ones for the trim on my car? Thanks

You may be able to find plastic ones that are similar with a head to fit in the trim recess.
Try Restoration Specialties.com. They have all kinds of clips; I contacted , and they didn't have the ones listed in their catalogue that match the 1355 clip. Perhaps they could find something close.My understanding is that all the radiator shell and trim mouldings use the same clip as well as the hood louver stainless strips.

I tried to install the strips with the small screws and I am having a time tring to get them to fit on. its harder than you think and I have my shell off the car. I have about seven small clips andit lookslike it takes about that much per side. Is it thesame clips forthe molding that covers the outside of the shell?

If anyone know were I can buys these clips it would be a great help.

I have several types so i'll messure the ones I have. Do the clips look like a diamond on the one end? Are they made of a round type sping wire or are the bases flat? Thanks

Re: the trim, if you're inquiring about the clips to hold the stainless trim to the (painted) radiator shell, etc, the clips were made by Auveeco , #1355, and are no longer available from vendors I tried. They are a spring type steel with a small head that slides into the trim and the clip snaps into the shell from the outside.The clips are about 5/8" long. If you have old ones, try to salvage them. I've seen small rd. head or pan head screws used but the shell would have to be off the car for access.

That grill looked a lot like mine except that I have all the crome attached. I just need to put the two vertical strips on the front and I have jars of screws and things. I found several types and sizes of clips and I want to make sure I put the right ones in. I spent a couple hours buffing them up and want to attach them so I can put the grill in. I also will be putting the crom stips back on the go around the front shell. Hopefully they are the same.
By the way, I will be getting your measurments for my door this morning.

I'll get a photo for you tonight CG.? Buy them?? Not sure if any makes a reproduction or if a substitute can be used.? Did you see the 36 grill on ebay?? sold for $505 +shipping. It was nice, straight, needed chrome.

Can anyone tell me what the trim clips look like for the grill on a 36 sedan? I have several types and I am not sure which ones are used.
Where can I buy these new?
