Edwin,  I was one of the people that responded to your search for a crank  for your 55 Poly motor. I have a 55 Dodge that has a poly motor, it has 63,000+ miles on the odomoter,  that I am going to be removing some time after the first of the year.. I have done a little research on the Dodge Red Ram poly's, according to the infor I have found, the Dodge versions were 270 CID, 183 HP, the Hemi's were also 270 CID but they had more HP.

I have a friend that has a 56 Dodge Royal Lancer that also has the Red Ram Poly engine. His engine runs very well, he told me the other day that he was thinking about replacing the engine with a  Mopar 360 Magnum/727 trans combo. My friends car is located in So. Cal., so that could also be an option if a 270 CID engine would work for you....Bill
