This tells me that mine was a push button only system, well darn.

Maybe I can sell the new lock assy in a few years, or find a different glove box button assy..

Just purchased a new lock for my '40 P10 glove box.? Unable to get the assemble to accept the lock. The part that came out of the assemble was not a lock, but may have been just a push button.? I have attached a picture of the components, note the part on the right has some plastic attached and is shaped to do nothing but push the lever inside the assembly

My question is, did all P10's come with a push button/lock, was it an option, could it have been changed at some time.
