Distributor IGS is an earlier model which was used up to the middle of 1950. It uses a counterweighted rotor, larger cap  and the points are mirror-image  of the IAT. The vacuum advance is different as well, but the unit will fit the 51 engine.

forgot the fotos:

btw.: Pertronix Ignitor needs to remove one fixing bracket, but no cutting is necessary.
I just carefully drilled the rivets out and can replace them with a set of screws or even new rivets,
using all insulatin parts again..

I have the original (?) distributor IAT  4011  = E 503959
Part No. 1343554 stamped on bottom:  AT 1035 ("late"?)

plus a spare unit with  marks on the casting:  IG S 111 A12 + or x
I don?t know where it comes from.

It has no tag bolted on.Its layout is that of the picture in my Service manual.
Has the counterweight rotor and Shaft and drive fit, but needs different fixing plate to compensate for a different
bore location.

Anybody knows type of this spare unit or provenience?

Thanks! Go
