Dennis:   Sorry to be so long getting back to you.  The running board restoration person is Hunley Acuff, 423 Wilson Road, Rossville Georgia 30741, 706-866-4875.

I removed the rubber myself and he did some sand blasting then restored the rubber.  Perfect job, I'm very happy with his work.

I purchased the running boards on my '39, as has a friend of mine, from Buckeye, (Paul Bowling) . These are new boards that are far superior to the originals. By the time you cleanup and repair your old boards, then ship them off to have a new rubber cap put on them, you have wasted time and money. One phone call to Paul, actually his wife answers the phone, and the new boards are on the way. It is true that the metal base Paul makes differs from the original, however, I found it to be stronger and very nicely done....Bill
