Hi I,m another new guy.I live in the great state of Kansas,in the great city of Leavenworth
On the outside of course.I,m a young man of 76,I got my first Plymouth in 1951,it was a 1941
Plymouth convert.In 56 I graduated to a 1948 Plymouth convert.Now I own a 1948 special deluxe
2Dr. I just discovered This post,and think I,m going to like it.I,ve been a member of P.O.C. for close
to ten years.and really like my magazine.Great to know you all and hope I can be of some help to

Sounds like you've done the "wearable" stuff - just keep changing the oil and filter and you shouldn't have any problems.  Oil & filter are the cheapest maintenance you can do.

Hi...awesome board! I can't wait to learn as much as I can.

A little about me...i am 33 years old, male, live in gorgeous middle Tn and I own and operate my humble little pizza shop.

My first Plymouth was a 63 Valiant Convertible, that I aquired by trading a 1980 Honda Civic (this was in 94) I was at a red light and complimented this guy on his car (it was a beater) he said  "I like your car" so we pulled over in a Wendys parking lot and traded...we both had our titles with us.

It was a 3 speed on the column, so I learned how to drive it on the way home.:)

I now just picked up a 65 Valiant 100 and plan on restoring her to full beauty, but I have a ton of questions. I bough her off a friend for $700 and she purs like a kitten. She just needs the typical, head liner, kick boards, a lil body work yada yada...

Before I start doing the cosmetic I want to make sure she is mechanically sound.

As of late she got...

Electric fuel pump, new cap, rotor, plugs wires, head lights, tires,  pads, wheel cylinders, water pump and fuel filter.

What kind of preventative maintenance should I do to make sure she keeps on truckin? Once Iknow she is as solid as can be, I will start with the fun stuff...which I have no idea where to begin. :)
