car cover or California duster?

I live in DRY TEXAS... so even though I keep my Plymouths in the garage, I use the cover and the duster!

I live close to the ocean, about five miles as the crow fly's. Damp air and night time dew is a problem, but so is dust because Southern California is basically a desert. I have several cars, some are keep inside and some outside. I use covers of various fabrics on all of my cars. It is very easy to keep the cars clean and dry with a cover. When I remove a cover it is very easy to lightly dust the car with a California Duster....Bill

I live in a farming region of Central California and gritty dust is a constant problem. It doesn't rain here between April and October.  Heavy dust just keeps coming. I use a dust cover on my cars. There are many new high tech fabrics that are designed for different purposes and conditions. I would talk to someone at one of the car cover companies and see what they suggest for your need. Most of the companies use the same materials as the materiasls are made by major manufacturers.

A dusty car around here can not be dusted without leaving scratches. It needs to be  washed first. A car cover designed for these conditions solves the problem.

I guess that your answer would have to take into account personal preference and how your garage is set up.
I have an unheated, detached garage in north central IL. I worry about a car cover trapping moisture, so I use the California duster.

I'd like to keep the dust off my 47 Plymouth when it's parked in my garage. I take it out once a week.? Would a car cover be a good thing. or just dust if off once in a while with the California car duster?? Or just wipe it off with a clean rag?? ?Thanks,? Ed P.
