Dear Mud:
Here in the Cincinnati area there is a great restoration shop, The Antique Auto Shop.? The owner is a friend of mine.? Last summer they took in a "barn fresh" '36 Plymouth coupe to do some selected mechanical restoration on.? Currently the car owner is considering having it repainted.? If they were to do this and remove the fabric top for any reason, I would be happy to photograph the wood frame and take measurments if you want.? It is a coupe but component size and spacing are probably the same on all model sizes.

Interestingly enough, the car owners family over the years had continuously applied a family brew, of coal oil and whatever, to all the body's painted surfaces.? The car is all original and is almost totally rust free although the paint now has a crinkled texture and is very sticky to the touch!? Incredible!

Oh, and regarding Tod's comment, NC Industries is definitely still in business but their most recent catalog only lists roof frame kits for '32,'33 & '34 Plymouth cars.? I chatted with them at Hershey again this year and picked up their latest.? They might consider making a kit but they'll want the same info it sounds like you're looking for.? Good luck!

You might want to check with N/C Industries:

N/C Industries
301 S. Thomas Ave.
Sayre, PA 18840
Telephone: +1.570.888.6216
Fax: +1.570.888.1821

At one time they reproduced the inserts for the 1933 and 34 Plymouths. Maybe they still do. And if they did that, they might do the 35 and 36 Plymouths too.
