No need for anyone to tear apart their car floors.? I measured my old rusty floor metal and found it was between .050 and .070 .? ?I don't know if rust increases the thickness of steel or decreases the thickness.? My books on metal has this as being around 16-18 gauge.  Thought an old assembly book might give the info.. Don

On my PD two door sedan the sloped floor board is metal. I guess I could take things apart enough to measure how thick.

The flat section between the front seats and the sloped section is wood. Somewhere around 3/4 of an inch thick. I guess I could measure that if I open things up enough to measure the metal.

Maybe this weekend. . .

Does anyone know if the floorboards of a 33 Ply Coupe were made of 16 or 18 gauge steel?  Thanks Don
