Thanks for the help.
I did check the bulbs first. It's funny i build custom bikes as a hobby and was going to put in a pressure swith as a last resort. I'll check that first with a jumper as you suggest. I just got a CD from 1eZwire which should clear up a lot of my questions.

Make sure you have good grounds. But is the tail lights are working, seems it would be OK.? I believe the culprit might be a faulty hydraulic brake light switch.? Not sure where the on is on the 53 but they are usually mounted near the MC or plumbed into the brake line going to the front wheels.? These can be cantankerous, and the signal switch gets a leg of its powere through the switch.? New ones are available but your easiest source is probably your local hHArley Davidson dealer.? In the meantime simple test is to locate it and check the wires, there are 2? one should be hot without ignition. the other should be hot when the pedal is pushed.? You could run a jumper betwixt the two or temporarily hook them together and see if you have lights.

Hi,
I'm new to this board. I just bought a 1953 Cranbrook, the problem i'm having is the directionals and break lights don't work. The parking lights are fine in the front and back. Any help would be greatly appreciated .
Thanks, Jay
