Wanting to change over my 1976 318 LA engine from a two barrel carburetor to to four barrel carburetor.   Will need an intake manifold to do it.   Have learned that Chrysler started in 1976 on forward putting on some models a four barrel carburetor.    So I will be scavaging salvage yards for an intake manifold.   If I manage to locate one,
I want to be sure the manifold is mounted on a 318 engine.    Are there any chrysler markings on the 4 barrel intake so I can verify it is the correct intake ?   My first thought is the distributor on a 318 is located in the back near the fire wall and on larger displacement engines the distributor is located on the front of the engine near the water pump - at least on my 66 Sport Fury that is where the distributor was located.   I do not want to put an Edlebrock intake manifold on my 318 engine.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.
