The first belts had chromed locks and no red push buttons. If You don?t find at swap meets or on e-bay, look for old airplane belts. They have nicer locks than the car belts of today. Always take a new belt with the old lock, and anchor  it very strongly! See Pete Andersons web site: he did a beautyful job!  greetings! Go.

I don't care how unauthentic it looks, I installed seat belts in my 47 sedan.

I am looking to install seatbelts in my 1955 Plymouth Belvedere.  The problem is I am looking to stay authentic as possible and since the car did not come with them....What should I do?  Can anyone suggest something or someone who might have access to era correct parts?  Any photos or articals etc......

Thanks
