Title: Battery Ground Location on '41
Post by: mvair on April 05, 2007, 10:33:36 PM
There is a special bolt/stud on the generator mounting bracket (see picture). Is this the correct place to ground the battery? The battery ground was attached to the head when I started the restoration. What is the original place the battery was grounded? If this generator mounting bolt is not the battery ground, what is it used for?

The special bolt on the generator bracket is the correct location for the battery ground lead (1941 through 1948) after that it was on the head, usually the second bolt from the front left corner.
