The weather Gods were good to me this weekend and the temperature here in Virginia was very mild.? I continued work on the drive train.? ?I installed the transmission that I cleaned up last weekend.

Looks like you really lucked out on that transmission. From the picture the gears look to be almost new. Pretty good for a tranny that's possibly 80 years old.

Actually the transmission I took out had nice gears also.? If it wasn?t for the completely sheared off tooth on the transition gear it also was in great shape.? I will have to keep an eye out for some replacement parts or another trany with a higher gear problem.
Maybe they just built things to last back in the days before some MBA came up with the ?Use it once?, throw it away? business strategy.
