Title: New Paint
Post by: 33plycoupe on March 06, 2007, 09:43:19 PM
I didn't know how easy it would be to post pics of my 1933 PD Deluxe R/S coupe until I read another post. Hence, I am showing off the new paint on my Plymouth. I had the shop do the pin stripes as per original drawings in the Plymouth Bulletin no. 260. The car is getting a new interior this spring from Kathy Schrack. I am also hoping to get the woodgraining completed for the summer '07 cruise season.
The body shop left a few imperfections in the paint I didn't see until I got it home; so, I decided to drive the car to his shop (about 35 miles one way) rather than having it trucked as I did for the original job. The flathead six seemed to get stronger every mile of the trip up and back to my home. It ran beautifully. Also, along the way (4 lane divided highway) I received many thumbs up for my Plymouth.
I would like to second the comments I've read numerous times about the value of membership in the Plymouth Owners Club. Members have been of great help to me.
If the woodgraining and interior turn out as I expect, perhaps I'll post pics later this year.
Robert

Hi Robert, can you post a photo of the rear showing above the waist belt line. Hope all is well with you and the car still makes you smile.

Thanks Tom
