I recently purchased a '31 Plym that is complete from the grille to the cowl, from there it is just a chassis. Everything mechanical is on the chassis including the free wheeling option, dash, instruments, etc., it looks like a battery and some fuel and it would run. The fellow I got it from had adapted the left rear hub to run a power belt so he could saw firewood with it, he claimed he had done so until just a few years ago.
The forth wheel had gotten misplaced somewhere, so I need a wire wheel that will fit a 31 Plym.
I have a friend in Idaho that thinks he knows where there is a 2 door sedan body for a 31 Plym, if this turns out to be true I will be able to rebody the car....Bill
Bill - 5 bolt or 6 bolt wheel pattern? I've got some 6 bolt wheels.
Jim,
The wheel I need is a 5 lug 17 inch...
I finally heard from the fellow in Australia about the wind wings I had (40/41), I received a letter from him today. I sold the ww's I had to Bob Griiner in Rockville. MD early last month. Bob has a late 40 Plym conv which uses the style of wings I had.
The fellow down in Australia asked me a whole bunch of questions about the Mopar ww's so I am going to respond to him via snail mail, hopefully I can answer his questions.
Thanks for the response....this internet thing and the forums are the best....Bill
Wheels I have are Canadian built 6 bolt. Sorry to hear the windwings are gone but you snooze, you lose! Next Bulletin will feature a story of that man's 34 PE roadster - Aussie built, sold new by his father's dealership...
Bill, Ihave a set of very nice 31 PA 5lug wire wheels aval. You should take the pair. I would also love to have a disc with 50 or so photos of your 39.
