Hi, way back in 1956 I bought a 1948 Plymouth convertable, not sure of the model name, but I am now looking to record a history of all the cars I have ever owned, and as this was the first, it is fairly critical to my project. I live in England, which makes it difficult to find information on vintage American vehicles, so wonder if any POC members might be able to supply anything to help me? Idealy, a photo would be great, especially if the car is black. (the colour of my original) Thanks-Brian.

Brian - the car you had was a P15C Special Deluxe - the only convertible offered that year. Out of curiousity, was your car a right hand drive or left hand drive? Brian - couldn't find a photo of a black convertible, so will be sending you a photo of a burgundy one instead. Only problem is my scanner went out in a blaze of glory last night. Hewlett-Packard assures me they will have a new one delivered to me by 10:30 am tomorrow. So once I get it figured out, configured, etc., I will scan the photo and get it off to you! JB
