Title: Material/upholstery question
Post by: samiam0821 on December 07, 2006, 01:30:40 AM
I am trying to keep my eyes open for good deals on e-bay and other sites for material to recover my cars seats. Does anyone know what the yardage is for my car? (50- 4 door sedan-2 bench seats). I found some beautiful Mohair material but it looks very thick (probably too thick for door panels) but OK for the seats? Does anyone know the yardage for the doors and headliner separately and places that sell reproduction material? I know that I could measure myself but I would be sure to mess it up!  :-\   Thanks, Camille

When I was looking for material for my car, a friend of mine, a very reputable Upholsterer, that has many car show wins under his belt for interior, told me that I needed to get 25 yards to do a complete interior job. That's what I did. I haven't got it started yet, but will be into that shortly.
