Title: Carby project
Post by: Carla on November 28, 2006, 03:22:46 PM
Hello, all,

I've started collecting up '34 to mid '50's Dodge/Ply Carter BB carbies, and have been 'sweeping' the ebay for original new-old-stock Carter rebuild kits, along with an original Carter spec book, with the end in view of a project to do some small quantity of correctly rebuilt carbies as trade material, some months hence. (I was able to get a large vat of the incredibly nasty toxic dip-cleaning material needed, which is now difficult to get here in Cali)

Does anyone have any spare BB carbies in 'rebuildable core' condition, that is, dirty or with some parts missing, but not broken up or really badly corroded, which they'd care to sell reasonably? Any old stock carb kits?

My e-mail is

cheers

Carla

I have a couple that might be candidates for a new home. I don't recall exactly the years, I think one is late 1930s the other maybe 1940s. I can take a look at the codes on them tonight to verify application. You can PM me through this site or send me an email (also through this site).
