This is a 1950 SW for sale on e-bay. My question is the dash board is painted a gray color. Do you know if it was original to the car? I suspect that is isn't but in light of what the cost would be to have it regrained, it is a color that I might consider for the interior? Camille

The dash in the Suburban is the color of the car.

don think I agree. When I was looking for my vintage car I saw a 1949 Suburban. The outside was lite tan, the inside two tone tan and burnt orange brown. the dash and painted trim was the darker color. A 1950 Suburban Savoy I have seen several times was green ext and tan, tan gray cord seats with  tan dash. I DID see a 1950 standard Sub green ext wit green dash.

I own a '49 and the only ones that were wood grained were the Deluxe and the Special Deluxe sedans and coupes. All other models including the ragtops wagons and the slope backed "sedanettes" were all painted,
