Title: 1933 PD Upholstery Fabric Resto
Post by: 33plycoupe on October 08, 2006, 04:30:44 PM
I plan on redoing the interior of my 1933 PD Coupe in the spring. The build card says the upholstery code is 301. I believe this to be broadcloth. Does anyone know of a company that  makes a fabric similar to the original? Thankyou in advance for any assistance.

My guess is that you got the match between a trim code of 301 and broadcloth from my web site. :)

Prior to 1934 the records have been lost that match paint and trim codes to actual colors and materials. The 301<->broadcloth match up is based on only one car that had very little material left. If there is any remnants of original upholstery left, I sure would like a confirmation of that match up. Likewise for your paint, if you can tell what the original color was and have the paint code from the build card, I'd like to add that information to my web site.

In the meantime I think that broadcloth is available from places like Hampton Coach. I'd contact Kathy Schrack if I were you for the kit. She buys the material and sews up the kits for you or your upholstery shop to install.
