Title: Perfection Windshield Bullet Proofing on Plymouth
Post by: loonyrich on September 25, 2006, 02:20:20 PM
Wondered if any one knew anything about Perfection Windshield Indianapolis, Ind in the '30s.? Apparently they supplied a total bullet proofing package for Plymouth Police Cruisers.? I found a couple of sales brochures with price lists from 1935.

Perfection Windshield was one of several companies that offered bullet proof cars for law enforcement.  The only price sheet I've ever seen was dated 1935 - don't recall if I've seen the brochure or not.  I have photos of several other bullet proofed Plymouths, 1938 & 1940 but don't know who the builders were.  Souix Falls, SD took delivery of one of these bullet proof '35 Plymouth's after John Dillinger & Co., robbed the local bank (and took most of the SFPD hostage at the time).  I've often wondered what happened to that car!  The Plymouth Bulletin did a complete issue on Plymouth police cars back about 1993 or so but that issue is now out of print.

Any chance of getting a copy of the brochure?  JB
