As an update to my recent question: my 50 stalls only when in neutral and braking to a stop. The advice was to check the float level. This was good advice. I made the float gauge shown in the manual and pulled the top section of the carb. The float level was indeed low! I corrected it and have found the car starts quicker now. But the stalling continues. It is only the deceleration that stalls the idling engine, and it is more pronounced going downhill. Is a total carb. rebuild the next step, or is there likely just some gas residue in one passage or jet?
