This is an advisory for everyone using this board to beware of a message you may receive in your personal e-mail, coming through the POC Discussion Board. Some sick SOB has hacked into the website and has been sending a message with pornographic photos to members using this discussion board. This type of conduct and material will NOT be tolerated on this website and every effort is being made to track this creep down and shut him down from using this board. If you get a message using web site administrator Mark Olson's or my e-mail address and the message is from "Bill Clinton", delete it without opening it. With your cooperation we can put the skids to this jerk and stop this type of material from appearing on our website. Jim Benjaminson
Just checked my email today. I received two emails from this individual. I thought they looked suspicious before I saw your email; hence didn't open them. If you can find out who he is, perhaps we could send the Plymouth Posse after him. (Just kidding-- although he deserves it!!)

I got 2 this morning from Bill clinton. Opened the first one. Saw what it was and then deleted both. I opened the first one because I didn't think there was any hijinks going on because it said it had come from the POC Discussion forum. Neat trick!

The world is filled with people like the guy who goes by Bill Clinton - he was removed last night - I have deleted his posts - I have also made it VERY hard to become a member of our groiup - it only required a valid email address before - that was the security - the board emailed you and you responded and you were a member - I allowed people to send personal messages from the board - I have taken that privilage away. The board allowed notifications - I have blocked that - I hope.
From now on - anyone who wants to join - will have to go through me and I have to OK them. If they are listed in the POC member list, I will allow them. If they can provide a phone number, and reason they want to join along with a actual physical address, I will allow them to join. If someone who is already a member of the club or this board can vouch for them - I will allow them - otherwise they will be ignored and not allowed to post here. If something does not work in the next few days - it is probably because I have removed a lot of permissions to make sure we don't have these problems again.
We have gone from a public open forum to a much more private version - because of this kind of wasted time by low-life people.
I do not let anyone post comments on my own site exactly for this reason - if you open all the trash of the world walks through.
This running a discussion board is not a fun job - believe me.

Thank you, Jim and Thank you Mark. Your efforts in running this board are greatly appreciated. People like ex member Bill Clinton need to have their heads knuckled. Hopefully POC membership and a home phone number and address will keep these perverts away as their behaviour is decidedly cowardly. dp

Just got around to reading this whole post - Savoy54 - I don't think there were any virus's attached to those - I did not open them myself to find out but deleteded them from the board - that was before I knew he had sent them.
Anyone open one and get a message from their virus checker?
I think he was just being a jerk myself - I have seen it other places.
The photo attached should have been a tip-off that I did not send it - I don't do that kind of stuff - believe me.

It would appear that the jerk was able to send out his emails to the majority of us. I am pretty protective of my computer so I have a policy of not opening any emails that contain up-links to web sites unless I know exactly who the email is coming from.
I was made aware of something somewhat odd the other day. My son told me that he did an info search on google for listings of people with my name. One of the "hits" he got showed the POC Discussion Board, and my topic about 39 Plym conv., when he opened it up all of the stat's about the Forum came up.........
The thing I find interesting about this is that I am on several other Forums, the Early V8 Ford, Buick Club, a Hot Rod Forum and a couple of others..... I wonder why a profile on me does not show up on google for these other sites?....Bill ???

You might want to check the members messages also. When I checked in, it said that I had 2 new messages, they were both from Bill Clinton.

Your email was Public - I changed it for you - this board has a lot of features other boards don't have - the bad side is they can be a problem if someone abuses them.
On why your name came up in our board - biggest reason is our Domain (plymouthbulletin.com) is a very high ranking domain - traffic is high, profile is high - Google gives you the high rank ones first - Some boards don't use Linux - and the data is totally encrypted - that makes them a little slower and a real pain to restore if they go south.
I took this board because it came with the hosting package - a good discussion board software with no charge - most reall good programs to run a board like this can cost $$$$$.
Life is one big trade-off all the time.
