Title: Paint in 61 Fury Trunk
Post by: 66 charger on September 08, 2006, 03:17:14 PM
I recently purchased a 61 Fury in original but great condition
When the underside of the decklid  was painted at the factory it was on the car and of course open.     The car's exterior color is black and the only part of the inside of the trunk with black on it is the top portion of the taillight panel only from overspray, the rest of the trunk interior is grey as are the cardboard finish panels.

My question is for your national show judging should I restore it this way, or is it permissable to paint the rest of the trunk body color and make it look more attractive.

Thanks,

Gray is the proper color and you will deducted points if its painted body color

Thanks for the response, I'll duplicate what the factory did.
