Title: 47 Special Deluxe horn
Post by: wawa2gogo on June 27, 2006, 11:26:19 AM
Having a problem with my horn. For some reason, unknown to me, starts blowing on its own. Have checked the connection at the ignition, in the steering column and at the relay, could not determine the problem. Could this come from a bad relay? Any suggestions out there?

Not sure how yours is wired, but my older one has a wire that runs down the center of the steering column shaft. If/when the insulation on that wire gets worn through then the horn will honk as the bare spot(s) make contact with the tube.

On my older car, that wire is pretty easy to replace.
