Maybe my identical post was wrong under "technical" - so this time "parts + paper"
Dear all,
as Chrysler build sheet sates, my ply came with a black top. So the one I have - off white cotton canvas- is not original but very old anyhow. It is however beautifully done and fits perfectly. Noe the rag is breaking at many places. It withstood heavy floods on my way to Sylt this May, but I have to put a new one this or next year.
Definitely I want a completely removable back plastic window. I am no longer able to polish it from inside the car.
Any experiences with a convertble rag top kit from Kanter or any other dealer?
GO, I have not had any experience with Kantner for conv. tops, I know a couple of auto upholsters that do conv.s, in perticular the one that is going to do my top. My top is going to be custom made for the car using German top material for a Mercedes in a light brown. I know there are some company's here in the States that make tops, Robbins comes to mind, I had one of their tops on a '63 Chevy Nova conv. I had many years ago. I will check with my sourse's to see if I can get you some additiional names....Bill
Go,
I don't know about Kanter's tops, however, I will tell you that everything I have ever purchased from them has been top quality.
Good luck,
Bill
