Title: Oil change
Post by: DENNIS P NOLAN on October 11, 2026, 04:03:56 PM
Hi- I understand that there are a million and 3 opinions on this topic-type/weight/etc///
Do you guys go by time or mileage- I have very few miles on my current oil change-but
I am coming up to a year with what's in there-Change it? or wait longer-?
Possibly once a year regardless?
Thanks, D

For a vehicle that only gets a few miles per year the general recommendation is to change on a calendar schedule. I have read that a lot of people with old cars change the oil in the fall when they are putting them up for the winter. That sounds like a reasonable thing to do.
