I purchased a "Winged Lady" hood ornament for my 1933 Plymouth Coupe about 15 years ago from Jay Fisher. It was a beautiful reproduction. Unfortunately, the ornament was damaged beyond repair recently. Does anyone know if jay Fisher is still in business? I still have the original in average condition; however, I may decide to replace it someday. If he isn't making them now, does anyone know of a manufacturer of reproduction? Thanks in advance for your help with this matter.
It is my understanding that Jay Fisher has passed away. The other alternative a few years ago was American Arrow but the proprietor, Don Sommers, also passed away. So I am unaware of anyone currently making reproductions.
Are you looking for the hood ornament used on the early PC or the radiator cap used on the later PCXX and/or PD models?
Tod Fitch, thanks for the information. How are you doing? I haven't been on here for years. I talked with you years ago. I have the 1933 Plymouth PD R/S coupe. I've had it for going on 20 years now. Thinking about selling it later this year or next. I'm getting up in years, and think it's about time to do it. I really don't know which ornament went on the different models. Do you have pictures of them? I would like to see the pics. I have the one that was on the car when I purchased it. I assume it came on the car when new, but don't know for sure. Hate to hear that Jay Fisher passed. He did such a great job on the ornament I purchased from him years ago. Again, thanks for your response.
The PD should have the winged lady radiator cap. There is an image given to me by a former technical advisor for the 1933 models at https://www.ply33.com/Models/PD/#ident (click on the small image to see the larger one).
