And leads on availablity of hose from engine to line going to oil pressure gauge or should I just go to McMaster Carr?

It's been a while so my memory is a bit hazy, but I think I was able to pick one up from my local auto supply. My cross reference indicates that 1936 through 1948 all use part number 655498 (https://www.ply33.com/Parts/group10#10-05-19) and that there are some cross references for it.
