Hello-
I believe that I am in need of a new Fuel Pump.
I have had this car at least 20 years- probably more-
I don't ever remember changing this out-
I recently replaced the carb-
I have just less than 1/2 tank of gas-
New carb installed and will run when primed only.
Pulled the gas line off at the carb- inserted onto a bottle-
cranked and NO gas.
This car (except for the new carb) is 100% stock-
I would like to get another stock fuel pump for it-
Suggestions as to where to get one-?
Thank you-you guys are the best!
Dennis
Personally, rather than getting a new pump, I'd get a rebuilding kit from Then & Now Automotive (a.k.a. Antique Auto Parts Cellar). Their kits are good quality and you are likely to end up with a more reliable, longer lived pump that a cheap new foreign import. Fuel pumps for the 1930s Chrysler products are very easy to rebuild.
TodFitch gave you the best advise.
I have used Then & Now Automotive for a
number of rebuild kits and they are top notch.
